We'll start with how technology has evolved, and then move into meaningful tips and advice for flight planning, preflight, departure, enroute and much more. | Jonathan "JJ" Greenway serves as the AOPA Air Safety Foundation Chief Flight Instructor. In that role he is responsible for ASF's two industry leading Flight Instructor Refresher Clinics (FIRC) which recertify over 10,000 CFIs a year. He is an Airline Transport Pilot with type ratings in the Boeing 757, 767 and DC-9. Formerly a Boeing 757/767 captain and check airman at American Airlines, JJ has held his CFI certificate continuously for over twenty-five years. In his 13,100 hours of total flight time logged, he has given over 1,500 hours of dual instruction in aircraft ranging from the Luscombe 8A to the Boeing 767-300ER. [FAA Wings Credit] | Al Hubler has been a flight instructor for over 35 years. He was employed by Allegheny Airlines for 13 years, where he flew the Beech 99, Nord, Twin Otter, Shorts 360, Beech 1900 and Dash 8. He is currently employed as an ATC Controller at the Lancaster Airport. Al has been an air traffic controller for many years and was also assigned to Memphis Center, Kennedy Tower, and Capital City Tower. [FAA Wings Credit] |
